The Belchamp Walter Christmas Tree Festival - 2023

This is a re-post of a section from the Belchamp Walter E-News

Editions 10.5 and 11 --- December 2023 and January 2024

The recent weather wasn’t been particularly conducive to brisk walks in the county side – squelchy, damp and extremely muddy is more like. You probably haven’t, therefore, been to the church yet to see the Christmas Tree Festival.

The church was looking particularly festive with all the little trees artfully displayed. People have been wonderfully creative in decorating the trees and many have lights. Monika has been busy making sure that each little Christmas tree is shown off to perfection.

We were ready for you to come and visit and cast your ballot for best adult decorated tree and best child decorated tree. Each tree was numbered and there are ballot papers by the door. Please do come down and cast your vote. The church is open from 9:00am until about 3:45pm. The door can be tricky, so pull the handle towards you and then turn anti-clockwise, it will open. If it doesn’t work first time, try again and pull it towards you a bit harder. Please visit the church this week and cast your ballot.

On 15th December 5:00pm-7:00pm you were invited to come to the church for a fundraising event. There was everything festive – canapés, music and warming beverages. Please do come down, park at Munt Farm and bring a torch to light the way.
