Wordpress and the Parish Council Website

The original Village Hall website was constructed using wordpress.com. An attempt was made to rewrite the website using HTML code that emulated the Wordpress website.

This attempt was abandoned and the Village Hall website reverted to a purely Wordpress solution. Slideshows and alternative booking forms were developed for the non-wordpress website but were never fully implemented.

To enable the use of the new HTML code and the existing Wordpress website functions were developed to allow the visitor to return to the Wordpress site after viewing the slideshow.

The code written to set the hyperlinks, home page and ???, is proposed to be used to change text on the Parish Council site

A blog or an interactive website

Wordpress is primarily "blogging" software. If an interactive web-presence, similar to Facebook, is required it would make sense to use its capabilities to do so.
