Other Technical Pages

These are pages related to the village of Belchamp Walter. They are not necessarily directly related to the Parish Council operations.

The pages are support pages for the development of this website. An emphasis on getting the pages to render well on a mobile phone is made and testing is performed on an iPhone.

Pages on village events will be prototyped here. These events are a combination of those organised by the church, the Friends of the church and the village hall. A goal is to get them to be found by those making Internet searches - i.e. they will be submitted to Google for indexing.

Complications

I have added a header id to both the desktop and mobile banners and they both should change on scroll.

At the moment clicking on the top bar on mobile goes to top of page - I could do this for medium and large but I am not sure if this over-kill.

The template

I have made many changes to the template and I am continuing to do so.

When starting a new page the unwanted sections from the template have to be removed and/or modified.

One of the main tasks is to display PDF reports on a website. While most browsers will do this automatically and the visitor does not need PDF reader software. However, the formatting of these reports can be problematic.
